Open call for researcher in Computational Archaeology

The Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology opens a call for a full-time researcher in Computational Archaeology, linked to the GIAP research group, to:

  • Develop machine learning and deep learning algorithms in Python for the detection of archaeological sites and remains of material culture in data obtained through remote sensing or other types of images.
  • Prepare the developed algorithms for their operation in various types of parallel computing, including cloud computing, server and HPC computing.
  • Writing technical reports, scientific publications and other types of dissemination results.
  • Development of training activities within the group.
  • Maintenance and preparation of the server for the access and distribution of the computational jobs of the group.
  • Contribution to the research synergy and development of the Computational Archeology Laboratory of the ICAC.
