The consolidation work of the remains of the pre-Romanesque church of Sant Julià de Valldaneu (Sant Martí de Centelles, Osona) has recently been completed, the identification and study of which has been carried out by researchers from the Landscape Archaeology Research Group (GIAP) from the Catalan Institute of Classical Archeology (ICAC) in collaboration with the Town Council of Sant Martí de Centelles.
The church was part of a medieval vilar (villare danielis), documented since the 9th century, which represents a good example of the hubs from which the territory began to be articulated at the beginning of the transformations linked to feudalism.
This consolidation will make it possible to have a new space linked to the routes that allow to trace the cultural and environmental heritage of the municipality of Sant Martí de Centelles.

Recentment s’han finalitzat els treballs de consolidació de les restes de l’esglèsia preromànica de Sant Julià de Valldaneu (Sant Martí de Centelles, Osona), la identificació i estudi de les quals ha estat portada a terme per investigadors del Grup d’Investigació en Arqueologia del Paisatge (GIAP) de l’Institut Català d’Arqueologia Clàssica (ICAC) en col·laboració amb l’Ajuntament de Sant Martí de Centelles.
L’esglèsia formava part d’un vilar medieval (villare danielis), documentat des del segle IX, que representa un bon exemple dels nuclis des dels quals es va començar a articular el territori en els inicis de les transformacions lligades al feudalisme.
La consolidació permetrà disposar d’un nou espai lligat a les rutes que permeten resseguir el patrimoni cultural i medi-ambiental del municipi de Sant Martí de Centelles.
